- Submit to the CBAM Registry quarterly emission declarations
- Declarations to be submitted within a month after the end of each calendar quarter
- The CBAM report must include:
- Total quantity of each CBAM good specified for each producing facility in the country of origin
- Total direct and indirect emissions
- Production parameters
- Carbon price paid in the country of origin considering any available rebates
- Provide importers with information of emissions of CBAM goods produced: specific embedded direct and indirect emissions, certain production qualifying parameters, electricity consumption, and carbon price paid
- Use the Communication Template for Installations (CTI, more below)
- Have Monitoring Methodology Documentation (MMD, see below)
For Importers
- Based on default values OR
- Based on supplier communicated emissions OR
- Based on assessed values
- In XML format for automatic upload to the CBAM Portal
- Validated against CBAM Portal requirements
